Cezary Bodzianowski

CEZARY BODZIANOWSKI
GIULIETTA PROJECKT
Opening: Thursday 22nd February 2007 from 7 to 9 pm
23rd February - 31st March 2007
ZERO is delighted to present the first personal exhibition of Cezary Bodzianowski to be held in the gallery.
Bodzianowski's work moves in a dimension of minimum, passing actions changing small daily events, upsetting and altering their perception.
The artist carefully analyses subtle incoherences and dramas occurring in the territory he's part of and then uses them to play around with reality.
Three works are on show in the main space.
Little beat (2007) is composed by a video projection filmed in the famous House of Juliet in Verona and by some stethoscopes through which the artist, listening to the lovers' heartbeat, can understand whether they really love each other.
In the video Alibi (2007) Bodzianowski shows he's elsewhere.
Finally, Ex libris (2005), a plexi-glass and plastic sculpture presenting the Cezary Bodzianowski initials, monogram.
Another two works are on display on the floor below.
In Tao (2007) he drew inspiration from the hourglass symbol the title refers to, to give waste of time a shape. Mission possible (2007), sees him involved in preparing a belly dance.
