ZERO... is delighted to present Francesco Gennari's second solo show in the Via Ventura space.
In this project, Francesco Gennari presents six out of seven world creation moments together with two self-portraits.
“The work Autoritratto tra un quadrato e un triangolo materialises the thought process occurring when you conceive a three-dimensional shape meant to link two bi-dimensional shapes (triangle and square); this is where the demiurgo wanted to spend part of his time as gin. In the work Autoritratto con, the demiurgo talks to himself, he takes on a human shape and the geometrical one of the bottle containing it at the same time. The remaining sculptures are the project the exhibition is named after. Only six of the seven riddles are presented as six sculptures. Apparently, their end is nothing but getting the loden coat to take up different positions and keep it suspended above the ground perpendicular to the world's axis. They basically represent the riddles the demiurgo had to solve during the days he was planning the universe; in the sense that putting the loden coat on the sculpture is like applying a concept, a projecting thought to the matter, to give it meaning, function, shape, in synthesis, determination.”
