"Boundaries are boneless"

May 29 - August 31, 2008

Giò Marconi is pleased to announced the opening on May 29th of the exhibition, Boundaries are boneless, by Luca Trevisani.
It’s the first solo exhibition by the young Italian artist at the gallery. In this occasion his work will be displayed on the underground floor and on the first floor of the gallery.
The exhibition will present ten new works, including the video “Gorgo”, some sculptures, the fishing-rods and some works on paper.
Luca Trevisani, one of the most interesting young artists of his generation, is interested in the form and in his endless developing possibilities.
His work is an undefined stream of forms and images, a continuous transformation process of the material, an everlasting research of the origin of the form and of its various identities, because, like the Holocaust survivor Primo Levi says in one of the artist favourite book: “Substance is substance, neither noble nor mean, endlessly changeable, and it’ s not important where it’s originated”.
From a linguistic point of view Trevisani works with different media: sculptures, drawings, videos and installation videos.
For the artist is important that every form and every material is always meaningful, but not just from an aesthetic point of view: as a matter of fact he is interested in investigating the possible connections among different elements and with the space and the viewer.

On this occasion it will be launched also the first book made by the artist, “The effort took its tools”, published by Argobooks, with text by Luca Cerizza, Dominich Eichler, Simone Menegoi and Luca Trevisani.
