Introduction
Göteborgs Konsthall presenting Enact, this year's graduation exhibition by students from the master's programs in photography and fine art at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Gothenburg.
This exhibition brings together sculpture, installation, drawing, performance, photography, video and audio. Each artist will have the opportunity to convey his own idea and aesthetic expression in the chosen medium. The width of the artists meet, collide and coexist different forms of art in the gallery's rooms.
thematics
Enact is inspired by symbolic interactionism that creates meaning through social interaction and reinterpretation. The exhibition's curator Alida Ivanov describes the exhibition process around the idea of role-play, or rather the roles we take on in our professional lives. She likens group exhibition as a society, involving people (artists) that interact with each other through objects (artwork). Exhibition theme is this interaction. Among the various artists Partnerships sees connection. Some start from the general to the personal and the other part goes the other way from the subjective to the objective. Together, those two sides of the same coin.
The group consists of two classes with 13 artists with backgrounds in different countries. In cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts gives Göteborgs Konsthall guided tours of the exhibition Enact in Swedish, English, Arabic, Persian (Farsi), Kurdish (Sorani), Russian and Romanian.
