For the sixth “showcase exhibition” at Bikini Berlin Haus am Waldsee welcomes book designer and artist Anja Lutz, who presents graphic works from her artist book Marginalia. By removing text and images, Lutz draws our attention to the overlooked elements that coexist in carefully designed books. Marginalia is a personal interpretation of the books designed by Anja Lutz with and for the following artists: Kader Attia, Sonia Boyce, Angela Bulloch, Jeanne van Heeswijk, Christine Hill, Hannah Höch, Hella Jongerius, Loriot, J. Mayer H., Laercio Redondo, Julian Rosefeldt, Lawrence Weiner amongst many more.
Anja Lutz is a book designer and co-founder of The Green Box art editions. She is the initiator of the experimental publication platform shift!. She won the European Design Award, was Visiting Professor at the American University of Beirut, Tutor at Bauhaus Universität Weimar, as well as Universität der Künste in Berlin, and Design Fellow at Akademie Schluss Solitude and Jan van Eyck Academie. Her work is characterised by an equal passion for contemporary art. Anja Lutz lives in Berlin.
