ON BORDERS
An Exhibition by “Ostkreuz – Agentur der Fotografen”

Borders are not only territorial, they also run between social milieus, the private and the public, and determine inclusion and exclusion. The drawing of borders can be perceived as a restriction of influence or freedom, their elimination as a loss of protection and security.
The photographers from OSTKREUZ explore the most diverse aspects of borders and address the topic at various locations around the world. Hence, the exhibition unfolds a panorama of visible and invisible, of interior and exterior borders. Guided tours, kids&teens@hkw activities and a HKW radio project with refugees round off the program.
