Don’t Expect Anything - Be Open To Everything

Every day will be an opening. For four weeks, from Thursday to Sunday, something different will happen every day in the KÖNIG GALERIE, St. Agnes. Every day I’ll be there to experience it with you: don’t expect anything, be open to everything!
In my work I’m interested in the dialogue between the viewer and the artwork, the space, other viewers and themselves. With every new project I ask myself: how can I touch people and encourage an exchange with their environment,in particular other people? The artwork here is the tool, the impetus I use to communicate with the world and with others. Sometimes we’re surprised or irritated in the process, sometimes we have to smile or pause for a moment. We have so many different impressions and experiences every day when we encounter things and each other. It’s in these encounters that we connect with the inner and the outer world. Sometimes we gain distance from it, sometimes it brings us closer.
I’ve been thinking for some time about the question of what happens when the artwork as impetus disappears? What does an exhibition look like without objects? Can this exchange between myself, others and the space happen just as spontaneously, intensely and animatedly? What does it take to sharpen our awareness and experience each other?
We will be at the center of this exhibition, sharing 16 different experiences on 16 days with a whole host of guests.
We will be the art work – every day different, every day new.

St. Agnes | Nave will open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 PM to 7 PM. The event starts at 7 PM. Sundays from 11:30 AM to 12 PM. The event starts at 12 PM.
In order to maintain concentration in the room, there will be no admission outside of these times unfortunately.
From Monday to Wednesday there will be workshops for kindergartens and schools with prior registration. Contact workshop@koeniggalerie.com for more information and to register.
