"Retrospektive"
"Retrospective" as a quotation, tableaux of the peripheral, of fragments, memories and excerpts instead of the usual rows of chronologically arranged work in blocks. An installation as the recycling of one's own production 1957 – 2006.
The gallery space is furnished with 2 showcases and a chair (for an attendant) from the MUMOK Wien. A video loop runs in the Kunsthalle 8 for the entire duration of the show 24 hours a day and visible for all, young and old, to see from the street.
"To leave hardly any traces seems to me to be a more worthwhile aspiration than working on an imposing oeuvre for posterity. The traces of less are better for the environment anyway!"
