In NEW GENERATION Amer Abbas presents a sequel to a previous exhibition called Genuine Happiness. This show dealed with the origins of art. This time Abbas tries to distinguish the element of formal design as a constant of artistic expression from the aspects of time-boundness. The title NEW GENERATION turns ironically against the conception of art as a phenomen totally bound to a certain period. The age of the participating artists between 25 and 80 years underlines its irony. The show presents positions like Oswald Stimm and Klaus Dieter Zimmer as well as newcomers like Christian Ganzer and Eva Chytilek.
