As a continuation of the project 'Genuine Happiness', kunstbuero is launching a series of exhibitions under the title 'no)))'. These exhibitions are to be held in the gallery's new space at the same address. Amer Abbas and Christian Egger have curated Part One in a three-part series of exhibitions.
no))) is to be understood as an attempt to disempower a compelling logic in the exhibition situation, to break with coherence and rob it of its validity, questioning the authority of the interweave of production, recognition and economy. Doing this while seeing and developing idiosyncrasies out of restrictions in a primary state of being split before a background of the institutional conditions of art production. To sketch the deceivability of the categorical borders between production and reception in the knowledge that there is a space free between the chairs.
