MUR BRUT 10: ALEXANDER ROMEY – DRIVING THE PERIPHERY
13 July – 1 October 2017
For MUR BRUT Alexander Romey developed a multi-piece work in the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf’s par-king facility. Along with two photographs, the installed architecture and exhibition flyer function as teasers for the exhibition and open up dif-ferent spaces for discussion and interrogation.
Images from a variety of photographic genres are connected to a narration to the extent that the border between reality and imagination becomes ever more diffuse.
Central aspects of photographic practice such as perception, objectivity and temporality become the objects of the exhibition.
Alexander Romey studies under Andreas Gursky at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
