Kunsthalle Zürich is pleased to present Bouquets, the first institutional solo exhibition by the Avignon-based experimental filmmaker and artist Rose Lowder (b. 1941, Lima, Peru). Unfolding around her ongoing series Bouquets (1994-present), the exhibition offers a comprehensive insight into Lowder’s exceptional working method and the 16-mm films through which she explores questions of sustainability, nature and visual perception. The exhibition brings together all Bouquets works for the first time, placing them in dialogue with some of their visual transcriptions — drawings by Rose Lowder that serve as scores for her intricate frame-by-frame technique.
