The British artist Anne Hardy (1970, St. Albans, GB) composes photographs of three-dimensional objects, which are initially designed and afterwards destroyed for the shots. In this manner each photograph represents an image of a no longer existing (cross) reference. The first impression may suggest, that those photographed rooms are similar to the real rooms in their walk-in sculpture, but there is no identity with the photographical illusion. The promise of the sculptures to document the photographed objects is refused, as well as the rejection of the contrast between reality and copy, since the real sculptural room is man-made too and is merely subject to another artificial arrangement.
