FROM I TO J. UN HOMENAJE DE ISABEL COIXET A JOHN BERGUER
From 12 February to 11 April.
Spaces D and E.
It is both an exhibition and an international tribute paid by filmmaker Isabel Coixet to John Berger.
Based on John Berger's book “From A to X”, in which a woman writes letters to her husband in jail, Isabel Coixet creates an installation with the collaboration of architect Benedetta Tagliabue and the complicity of some of today's most renowned film actresses.
Designed to be viewed in small groups, the installation submerges visitors in an atmosphere that wraps them in light and sound leading them successively through the different letters in the book, which are read by prestigious actresses and artists, such as Monica Bellucci, Sophie Calle, Patricia Clarkson, Penelope Cruz, Julie Delpy, Isabelle Huppert, Maria de Medeiros, Sarah Polley, Tilda Swinton and Leonor Watling.
The exhibition also includes the photographic portraits taken by Isabel Coixet during the recording of the readings, together with an interview she filmed with John Berger.
On 11 February at 18:00, we will have Isabel Coixet and John Berger, who will present the project.
