20 years after the German reunification, the exhibition thematizes the East-West-German relationship from the 1960s to the 1990s. Starting from the intense search for a new image of humanity during the post war time, the exhibition presents different developments and specific situations in both parts of Germany.
Works by Baselitz, Lüpertz and Penck are confronted with Strawalde, Gerhard Altenbourg and Wolfgang Mattheuer.
