Andrea Zittel is an American sculptor and installation artist most closely associated with remarkable utopian structures she calls living systems. For ower two decades she has been creating minimal self-sufficient dwelling spaces in which daily activities such as sleeping, eating, cooking and socializing are transformed into acts of art. The fall exhibition at Magasin 3 will focus on ideas related to A-Z West, her studio and home in the Californian desert.

New monograph in relation to the exhibition published by Prestel available in September. Read more

“We are very pleased that Andrea Zittel will be producing a completely new and large-scale piece for the exhibition at Magasin 3. The work Lay of My Land is a sculptural installation based on the place A-Z West; a dramatic topographical figuration of the very unusual landscape making up the Mojave desert.” says the exhibition’s curator, Richard Julin.
