Works from the FACE Collections
17 FEB – 29 MAY 2011
Curator: Tessa Praun
Next spring Magasin 3 will present Investigations of a Dog, an exhibition organized by the network FACE (Foundation of Arts for a Contemporary Europe). The group consists of the five private art institutions DESTE Foundation, Athens (Greece), Ellipse Foundation, Cascais (Portugal), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin (Italy), La maison rouge – Fondation Antoine de Galbert, Paris (France) and Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall.
Investigations of a Dog got its title from a short story by Franz Kafka (1922) and presents works from the collections of the five FACE partners. The exhibition opened in October 2009 at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, and has been shown at Ellipse Foundation over the summer. Those who are visiting Paris during the fall can see the exhibition at La maison rouge before we finally present it at Magasin 3 in February, says Tessa Praun, the curator in charge of the project in Stockholm.
