Projections, the new presentation from the MAXXI Arte collection, explores those artists who, privileging the commingling of idioms, use electricity, mechanics, technology, moving images and sound for their creations, works that radiate their own indirect or reflected light.
In the terraced space of the museum’s Gallery 3, installations by Mario Airò, Haluk Akakçe, Francis Alÿs, Massimo Bartolini, Lara Favaretto, Tony Oursler and Thomas Saraceno dialogue with one another with no architectural divisions or visual barriers.
