Frankfurter Positionen 2006

The third Frankfurt Positions are dedicated to an common opion formed in our everyday life: What do we mean, when we say that we "like" something? Our judgement is fundamental, but neverthelss the interrelations are complex – especially today.
The exhibition will deal with this topic in the photographic works of three artists.
Hans–Peter Feldmann is well–known for his work with archives of his own as well as of found photographs. Lucien Samaha also works at (also electronic) archive projects.
The Turner–laureate Wolfgang Tillmans will present new works in the context of the exhibition. Moreover he will advise students of the Städelschule who will approach the theme in their own projects.
The exhibition project was initiated y the BHF–BANK–Stiftung who also asked the students for the realisation of relevant works.
