One of the leading artists of her generation, Lorna Simpson employs a spare, evocative visual language to explore assumptions about identity, gender, and culture. MOCA is the opening venue for this 20-year survey that includes approximately 45 works spanning Simpson’s early sequential photograph and text pieces, large-scale serigraphs on felt, and film and video installations.
The exhibition is organized by the American Federation of Arts.
