With the idea of giving a platform to the most active, vibrant players in the local area, Museion has decided to open its studio house to the artists from Kunsthalle Bozen. Until September, the ground floor of the cube next to Museion will host exhibitions by the group of artists established by Cornelia Lochmann in the former Mebo Centre in via Castel Firmiano in Bolzano, now a self-managed space. Since 2014 the group has been forging connections and setting up exchanges with artists in Berlin.
The second date is with Philip Shafer & Stefanie Walk, who present the exhibition “Arrangement. i.-v”. The artists will be exhibiting paintings, photographs and an installation created for the occasion. The common theme of the works is the conversion of a Berlin building into a mausoleum, a project that the two artists found themselves working on at the same time.
