BLUE CURRY
Stranger than Paradise
curated by Elke Gruhn and Sara Stehr
15 May - 26 June, 2011
The NKV presents new works by Blue Curry (*1974, the Bahamas). In his work he undermines the tropical, exotic and primordial fantasies, by analyzing the substantial, mythic elements. His minimalistic installations and assemblages float ambiguously between ethnografic discoveries, the souvenir and the contemporary art form. The exhibition in the NKV is Blue Curry's first institutional solo-exhibition in Germany. The artist lives and works in London and Nassau/the Bahamas.
