black/blue)

1: ROAD WITH MARKINGS
WAYFARER WITH SECRET CHIMES walks askew in the direction of the camera.
FIGURE IS LOST/LOOKING FOR A DIRECTION, WEIGHT, BALANCE AND SCALE.
CAMERA MOVES TOWARDS WAYFARER, CROSSES PATHS.
REPEAT ACTION TO INTRODUCE OBJECTS:
Repeat with blue measuring stick (try holding vertically in air)
Repeat with balancing white/blue painted stick (horizontally)
Repeat with introduction of arrow, in palm of hand
Repeat with pocket sized-scale
Repeat with figure behind Wayfarer (holding hands in front of
eyes)
Repeat with black or blue markings (on 2nd pair of hands)
Repeat, out of character
Repeat, backwards

WAYFARER WITH SECRET CHIMES surveys, circles, circumnavigates,
intersects, back tracks.
Camera circles wayfarer (in PROFILE), repeat in reverse
Wayfarer and camera move in sync, repeat in reverse
Repeat with sextant
Repeat with balancing sticks
Inserts: Chance Games/two sets of arms
Objects in hands, layering
Wooden jigs, throw down

3: BEALE’S CUT- DISAPPEARING FIGURES
WAYFARER WITH SECRET CHIMES, heading in a direction, reverses.
Cut in and out, front and back.
Insert: Laying down, hexagon weights on eyes (one weight then two)
Laying down, hexagon weights on eyes singing (singing softly, singing loudly, no sound recorded, one weight then two)
Insert: Eyes over hands (from outside the frame, also the reverse angle, with sky in back ground)
4: The Chorus chooses a navigator, carrying objects and weights in hand.
