Gifts in Honor of Miami Art Museum's 10th Anniversary
May 4 - October 28, 2007
MAM’s collection has grown almost exponentially over the past year with several major gifts of art from collectors in Miami and beyond. This exhibition will showcase an exciting array of major works donated to MAM on the occasion of its 10th anniversary as a museum and collecting institution. The Plaza Level Gallery will be filled with major pieces by artists who range from Fernand Léger to Vik Muniz and Susan Rothenberg – whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions at MAM and other major contemporary art museums worldwide. Power of Ten, in tandem with the Collectors Council Acquisitions in the New Work Gallery, highlights MAM’s commitment to growing its collection and honoring donors who have been instrumental in its development.
