NEW YORK—The Paula Cooper Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of works addressing the intersection and cross-pollination of music and the visual arts. The exhibition will include works by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, Bruce Conner, Latifa Echakhch, Charles Gaines, Christian Marclay and Claes Oldenburg/Coosje van Bruggen. The exhibition will be on view from April 26 through June 6, 2014.
The exhibition will present works on paper, sculpture, video and installation works ranging from 1978 (Bruce Conner’s short film MONGOLOID, made as an early music video for Devo) to 2014 (Latifa Echakhch’s metal wall sculpture Morgenlied). It will include a piano installation by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, drawings by Charles Gaines based on musical scores, a soft guitar sculpture by Christian Marclay, and sculpture and works on paper by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen riffing on harps.
