Platform China is attending PHOTO TAIPEI Art Fair
18 - 20 Dec 2009
Platform China is a Beijing-based multi-function art organization, established in 2005. Platform China has two gallery spaces and one project space (total 1,300sq.m) locate inside the Caochangdi village - a newly developed art district in Beijing. The art organization also supplies five work/live artists’ residency studios to host international artists. The main aim of Platform China is to develop and promote contemporary art in China and to build up a platform of cultural exchange and dialogue between Chinese and international artists.
Platform China is more than just a gallery. Our activity focuses not only on the usage of the spaces, and on the diversity of the programs (from visual art and film to music, new media and other cutting-edge art forms) but also on the events and exhibitions we organize. The goal of Platform China is to create an open artistic environment in which contemporary art in all its different identities can be created, shown, and discussed. We discover, support and promote excellent young Chinese artists and encourage international artists’ recognition in China. Platform China promotes contemporary art through curatorial projects, art publications and managing art projects nationally and internationally.
