"On Air", the summer programme for the teenagers of Studio 13/16, is a new and unusual experience. The work Untitled 1996 (rehearsal studio no. 6, silent version) by the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija evolves in total autonomy, without any external mediation. Its strength lies in the "modi operandi" that are also those of Studio 13/16 – interactivity, conviviality, exchange and creation. The teenagers are invited to "perform" in the work, to act, to record and to leave with a CD of their composition. "On Air" makes it possible to examine the mutual influences of the plastic arts and sound creation, and to understand how their interaction helps to invent new fields of creation. Thanks to this initiative, Studio 13/16 sets in motion a swing towards new modes of mediation, resulting in a convergence between creation and participation, and between reflection and the production of teenagers.
