Making Douala 2007-2013 exhibition project is about the way art can reveal the city. It's about the influence of artistic interventions in the public space of this huge city of the center of Africa and how it affects the daily life of the city-dwellers as well as their perception of the city. For twenty years, the role of doual art, contemporary art center of Douala, was to work on the realization of art works in the public place. In a city where the planning is slow, the architecture is almost absent, and where the procedures are informal even when they emanate from the very municipality. This exhibition presents a variety of narratives, movies, photos and images of the city and art works realised or in progress so creates a raising awareness to the public place in Africa. In association with doual' art, ICU art projects and Lucas Grandin with the involvment of Aser Kash, Ato Malinda, Bili Bidjocka, Hervé Youmbi, Kamiel Verschuren, Koko Komegné, Lucas Grandin, Pascale Martine Tayou, Younes Rahmoun, Tracey Rose
