CHARITY EXHIBITION "LICHT INS DUNKEL"
29 November - 23 December 2014
For the fourth time, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac Salzburg is hosting a pre-Christmas charity exhibition for LICHT INS DUNKEL in close collaboration with the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Company). The gallery provides selected artworks by internationally renowned artists including Herbert Brandl, Nan Goldin, Alfred Hrdlicka, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Hubert Scheibl, Bettina Rheims, Lisa Ruyter and Andy Warhol, that will be on view until 23 December 2014.
On Christmas Eve, the entire proceeds from the works sold during the exhibition will be donated directly to the initiative that gives material and psychological support to children in Austria with disabilities and special needs, together with their families. In recent years, thanks to the generous support of our collectors, we have been able to help many children in Austria.
The opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by a book presentation followed by a reading from the Christmas book by LICHT INS DUNKEL entitled "STEHT DAS CHRISTKIND VOR DER TÜR?." The book presents a collection of short stories with Christmas memories from well-known personalities. The proceeds from the book sales are also donated to the charity.
