ALEJANDRO ALMANZA PEREDA
17.04. - 16.05.2009
Alejandro Almanza Pereda’s installations and graphics have the notion of impending danger as their theme. He experiments with this notion, in terms of both form and content, not only during the making of his installations but also after their completion. He mainly uses household utensils and industrial materials, which he combines to create unexpected compositions. An essential formal element of his work is the precarious equilibrium of forces that makes for a continuous state of suspense and a sense of foreboding.
Alejandro Almanza Pereda, born in 1977 in Mexico City, Mexico, lives and works in Mexico City and New York.
