Art Laboratory emerges from the collaboration between Fundación Síndrome de Down del País Vasco and Sala Rekalde. It is conceived as a space for experimentation with the aim of fomenting a close up to current art practices, facilitate a space for the knowledge of new languages in contemporary art and create a friendly place where to share, respect, create and question oneself, in order to favor an emotional wellbeing out of the usual environment of the components of the participants.
The group gathers at Sala Rekalde once a month to develop a session of an hour and a half in which to know the exhibitions and experiment with new formats, techniques and processes of creation. The conclusions and final products of each experimental session are displayed at the hall of Sala Rekalde celebrating the World Down Syndrome Day.
