GÜNTER HAESE
Neue Skulpturen

29th March - 8th May 2010

Günter Haese was born in Kiel Germany in 1924.
He lives and works in Düsseldorf , Germany

Günter Haese is a sculptor who makes mobile sculptors since the late 50s. He is the 1st German artist who had a solo show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York after the second world war in 1964. He has represented Germany at the Venice Biennale in 1966 and was invited to the Documenta in Kassel in 1964...His fragile sculptures are in many important collections such as Moma and Guggenheim in New York and in several German Museum collections. His sculptures are small in size, they are made of phosphor bronze wires: they are either black or in brass or cupper: every air or vibration in a room bring them to movement. His works are light, poetical and extremely authenticable. His oeuvre is pretty small with an approximate total of 400 sculptures for his life time.

We represent Günter Haese since 1989 and we would like to invite you to his next opening in the Hamburg Gallery on the 29th of March

Best Regards
Andree Sfeir-Semler
