FOCUS ON FORSYTHE: ADDITIVE INVERSE

8|5|2009 - 10|5|2009

This UK premiere of 'Additive Inverse' forms part of Sadler’s Wells’ 'Focus on Forsythe' season: a celebration of the career of iconic choreographer William Forsythe. As an American working internationally for the last thirty years, Forsythe is recognised as one of the world’s foremost choreographers. His work is celebrated for reorienting the practice of ballet from its identification with classical repertoire into a dynamic 21st-century art form.

Composed of thread and fog, the material work is a score for a delicately sustained solo performance. This installation by William Forsythe is made in collaboration with Philip Bußmann, features a soundtrack by Thom Willems and is performed at the SLG by Alessio Silvestrin.

Installation open: Fri & Sat 12-8pm and Sun 12-6pm. 15 min performances: Fri & Sat at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm plus Sat at 4pm. Sun at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. Places on a first come basis, come early to guarantee entry.
