In 2015 the Stedelijk bought the spatial artwork +#14.11 by Saskia Noor van Imhoff (1982). For the inaugural presentation of this work at the Stedelijk, the artist is making an installation that enters into a conversation with the museum collection and with the architecture of the gallery spaces. In her work, Van Imhoff combines artworks from the depot, replicas, and everyday objects, juxtaposing them without any kind of hierarchy. She integrates conservation, research, and classification methods into her installation.

From February 6 until April 10, 2016 there will also be a solo exhibition on view at De Appel art centre arts centre. Planning on visiting both exhibitions? Don't forget to get your 20% discount voucher. You can find it in the rack next to the wardrobe.

STEDELIJK CONTEMPORARY
The Stedelijk Museum continuously presents dynamic solo exhibitions by a young generation of artists. Many of these are new productions and recent purchases that tie in with the museum’s acquisitions policy. The Stedelijk seeks to respond to current events and stimulate contemporary talent by, in some cases, also taking on the position of commissioner. Its commitment to developing lasting relationships with young artists shapes the future identity of the museum’s collection.

The presentations in 2016 and 2017 are made possible by Ammodo.
