T293 presents Stefania's Galegati latest work. The exhibit shows around eighty small-medium dimensioned drawings and paintings of second world-war bunkers entirely made in different techniques and developed over the last two years. The drawings and paintings depict short-lived architectures that were used for war purposes and have been ignored after a short period of time. These architectures are found in several surroundings such as the coast, country-side and forest. Being set in those surroundings distance them from their original context and immediately deprives them from their original purpose. However, they perfectly integrate themselves in the landscape. These forms coming from the past arise curiosity and interest among tourists. Starting from numerous collected and archived images, Stefania Galegati has created drawings and paintings which proliferate on the walls of the exhibiting space like fragments. Just as in her previous works, Stefania Galegati deals with abandoned places or historical elements in a scientific way; she extracts them from their apparent obscurity in order to evoke restless atmospheres, producing time shifts and performing ironic and paradoxical stories. The images of dwarfs outline cut outs on furniture and ghost stories paintings convey the indescribable and hidden intensity of objects
