Eco Land Art
26 Nov 2022 - 26 Feb 2023
Marwa Arsanios, Alex Cecchetti, Katharina Cibulka, Hannelore Nenning, Amol K Patil
How do we want to encounter land and landscape and live with them? Can art’s ability to allow for constellations of deep perception and thoughtful affection play a role in this? Could art be actualized to act as an antidote to the interventionist, exploitative and colonialist logic of land use—to a logic that was also perpetuated by the avant-gardist Land Art in the USA?
Can artistic actions, discussions and readings help us practice getting situated in a humble community with the land? In Eco Land Art, the artists invite us to encounters with landscape and land—both in the galleries of the TAXISPALAIS as well as outside of the art institution.
