VICTOR AND HESTER
VH-16-22-7-12-3-22-5
31 March - 25 April 2015
‘I’m thinking about a process of being consumed and swallowed and broken down and excreted’
Victor & Hester presents Dreams of Machines, a series of sort-of commissions; audio, text, screening, performance, and research at Transmission, Glasgow. Presenting the domestic space as a potentially potent social space, the work draws questions around a feminist reading of privacy and companionship, collaborations, domestic spheres, labour, interiorities, the unnameable, the unsaid. The work explores tensions between language, labour, architectural space and the bodies that move/work within and between these frameworks.
The exhibition is a point within a research project by Amelia Bywater and Emma Fitts (V&H) who will use the Transmission Resource Room throughout April to make a publication. This will be launched in May.
