During November and December, Transmission will be transformed into a cinema, with a custom-built screen and seating structure by Amelia Bywater.
Screenings and events will be presented in collaboration with the Radical Film Archive, Cinenova, Bisan Abu Eisheh, Generation Revolution and Vince Tillotson
There will also be screenings of moving image works submitted from the Transmission membership and visitors will have access to our own VHS archive, including some rare and juicy treasures from the Glasgow art universe, dating back to 1983.
Keep an eye on this page for news and links to each of the events! The space will be open weekly Tues-Sat 11-5, and you are welcome to interact with the various film collections in the space!

Cinenova is a non-profit organisation dedicated to distributing feminist film and video. Members of the Cinenova Working Group have selected ten films, which will be showing in the space beween the 26th November and the 3rd December.
Charlotte Procter from Cinenova will host an event on the 26th November.

The Radical Film Archive is an ongoing and broad collection of films relevant to radical political struggle. The Glasgow-based archivists are committed to free access and distribution. A selection of films addressing police oppression will be available in the space, housed on a hard-drive encased in a custom-made ceramic pig-gnome sculpture by Tilly Gifford, and the entire archive will be available for visitors to download and contribute to.
The RFA folks will also be producing an event on the 8th December.

Bisan Abu Eisheh will be presenting a curated screening on the 24th November.

We are super excited to present the Scottish premiere of Generation Revolution, a documentary by Usayd Younis and Cassie Quarless exploring London's new generation of Black and Brown activists. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and a Glasgow-based activist.
