ROLAND SCHIMMEL
The Innocent Eye /Het Onschuldige Oog
in Het Oog (The Eye)
2 April - 30 September, 2012

Since February 2009, Het Oog (The Eye) is a space in the ‘open air’ of the museum that gives artists space to work on a project for a period of six months. Starting in April, the artist Roland Schimmel (Hooglanderveen, the Netherlands, 1954) will work on a so-called dynamic wall painting.
This painting will change continuously influenced by the act of viewing of the visitors and the changing day light that is caught and reflected by the bended wall of Het Oog. Schimmel is interested in the experience of the unpredictable in our perception.
