The most comprehensive show of American artist Paul McCarthy in Europe comes to the Whitechapel. Drawing on the imagery of American and European myths, his work transposes popular icons into disturbing and carnivalesque scenarios. The Whitechapel exhibition shows McCarthy's drawings, sculptures, films and installations and continues off-site, where McCarthy's new installation Caribbean Pirates is installed in a warehouse near the Gallery.
