"Up"
Youths who were born in 1980’s, have the feelings especially belong to this generation. You may share, but cannot involve.
“Up” is the impulse of 80’s children’s audacious consequence. They want to be “up”, dare to go“ up”, chase “up”...
There is no “down” in their dictionary and they look down on it. Maybe it has been deleted, or it is under shielding...This is the valiant of 80’s generation. You have the rights to keep your judgment to love or not, however they will be here to stay.
New generation artist Chi Peng was born in 1981 and graduated from photography and digital art studio of CAFA in 2005. His works are full of romanticism’s fancy feelings, graceful flying, freeing running...galloping the demolished and reconstructed ideal city and meanwhile using the ambiguous mood to challenge the abstruse ethics judgment and obscure morals restrain.
80’s people are using the impulse and vigor of “up” to face the newly fast changing world. Although they will at a loss and become confused during the process of being “up”, what to approve is that they are throw off the convention orbit and the young vitality that brought out when they reconstruct the rules.
