SHELLY NADASHI
Where is Camino
6 - 23 October, 2011

Where Is Camino is a series of monochrome silk prints portraying holes. Produced using a basic means, a pair of scissors, and then printed, these holes were made throughout the summer in Brussels. They will be on display at Wiels during October alongside a recording of a voice asking for Camino to reveal himself.

WIELS artist-in-residency Shelly Nadashi (b. 1981, Haifa, Israel) works in a variety of media such as performance, video, puppetry and object-making. Her work often focuses upon the hierarchy between the performer, their apparatus and the audience, and interrogating these relationships. Major exhibitions/performances include Performa, New York (2011); Etablissement d'en face, Brussels (2011); Transmission Gallery, Glasgow (2011); Collective Gallery, Edinburgh (2010); Glasgow Short Film Festival (2010) and Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art (2008).
