"Fences" is a series of works consisting of 133 sculptures by one of Russia's leading street artists, 0331c. Each piece is a miniature version of fragments of concrete walls, depicting the messages, inscriptions and writings of contemporary street artists and ordinary citizens who express their innermost thoughts, feelings and experiences. And most of which, of course, relate to the social upheavals in Russian society.
The artist says: "I made a series of porcelain figurines – reproducing copies of the rough concrete wall, which are found across the territory of modern Russia and the former CIS countries." He observes that the art of the modern Russian porcelain can only be found in a few works that echo the spirit of their time-reflecting both problems of society, and the reality of our times.
These art objects are miniature replicas of the reinforced concrete fence model PO-2, 3000 x 2500 mm in size and weighing 1500 kg.
