NINA SAUNDERS
"It's About Your Request To Be Let Out Of The Forest"

Andréhn-Schiptjenko is proud to present Nina Saunders ́ second solo show at the gallery.
Nina Saunders work with sculptures, objects, bronzes, painting and drawing. All her work arise out of the subversion of the everyday object and form a kind of trompe-l'oeil representation of domestic reality.
The main piece in the show at Andréhn-Schiptjenko, entitled Autumn Leaves, is a ghost-like sculptural installation in white resin, depicting a group of abandoned furniture covered in dustsheets. The work expresses the idea that when a season departs, it leaves something behind, be it a memory, an emptiness or a particular sentiment. Other works in the show include a series of 3 bronzes were Nina Saunders employs different domestic objects, expressing ideas about our experience of daily life.
Nina Saunders, born 1958 in Denmark, lives and works in London. Recent exhibitions include Autumn Leaves at New Art Centre, Wiltshire, UK and Art Futures at the Contemporary Art Society, London, UK and a major public art project in Scotland during 2005.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, February 16, 5-8 pm. The gallery is open Tuesday - Friday 11-5 pm, Saturday 12-5 pm. Nina Saunders will be in Stockholm Feb 14-19. For further information and visuals please contact the gallery.
