Addiction
Installation
12 May - 15 July, 2011
Timo Heino (born 1962) is an important artist whose every work is the result of long deliberation and extremely careful execution.
His works address the terms of human life. The issues can be the incompatibility of human needs with those of nature, the repressive effects of education, loneliness, excessive communality or the clash of instinct and reason.
Timo Heino begins each work from scratch, proceeding from a new idea and, in most cases, a new material. Nonetheless, the works share something that is greater than individual ideas or forms of expression: the aim of exploring major issues and compassion for people groping their way forward in ignorance.
