Avoiding "victimism" as far as possible, the next Bac! Festival will present the work of key artists for a generation of women artists who are somehow involved in fighting for women's role in art, in order to discover new paradigms of creation.
The exhibition will consist of a compilation of works by women artists who work on different issues related to contemporary life. It is a tribute to the sensibility and temperament of those anonymous women in history’s shadows, the pioneering women who opened up new paths in their own time, to express the female point of view through art.
As well as offering a platform for diffusion of women’s art, the next BAC! Festival looks at historical points of reference and contemporary realities that invite audiences to reflect. It warns of the need for awareness, because sexual difference should be accepted as a simple biological reality, not a tool for discrimination.
