By organising small scale exhibitions Foam focusses on photographers that have just finished their studies. The library at the third floor is Foam's newest location for these small, quickly alternating exhibitions: Foam_3h.
Photographers collective ‘Fw:’ examines the state of play in the rapidly developing market of digital cameras in mobile phones. The enigmatic title ‘Fw:S75’ refers to the type of mobile phone that the photographers worked with for two months.
‘Fw:’, comprising Olga Gorissen, Dieuwertje Komen, Linn de Kort, Karin Krijgsman, Ingeborg Moerkerken, Anouk Paulissen, Dani Smulders, Petra Stavast, Babette van Veen, Tom Waijers and Hans Gremmen, meet each month to discuss, reflect and organise activities. At one of their gatherings a suggestion was made to publish their projects in a collective magazine. On 13 April Foam presents ‘Fw:’in the library, accompanying the fourth issue of ‘Fw: Magazine’. The exhibition and the magazine explore the possibilities presented by cameras in mobile phones.
