THE PEOPLE'S MUSEUM
An exhibition featuring you! Zaha Hadid Lounge in the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg
25 May - 14 September 2014
In “The People’s Museum”, the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg looks back over the last 20 years and the 127 exhibitions that have been shown here during that time: the colourful array of photographs on display in the Zaha Hadid Lounge – the exhibition and project space run by our Education team – features artists during their openings or performances as well as pictures from fashion shows, workshops and other events. Many memorable moments are captured in these photographs, which also include candid shots of familiar faces. Viewers can take a trip back in time to when the museum was still a construction site and trace its development as an open, accessible cultural institution through this visual documentation of exhibition openings and anniversary celebrations, but above all of artists installing their shows and engaging with visitors and curators. Throughout the exhibition, visitors’ own images of the museum and its wide-ranging activities will be added to the display.
