On the Road: Airstream Bambi Travel Trailer
07 Mar - 21 May 2007
This installation celebrates the Museum's recent acquisition of a 1963 Airstream Bambi Travel Trailer. With its aerodynamic body of gleaming aluminum, the Bambi is a machine for living and traveling. As a cultural icon, the Bambi evokes the freedom of the open road and the convenience and comfort of a home on wheels. As a compliment to the Bambi, the display includes a selection of travel and automobile posters from MoMA's collection.
