Carte blanche PMU
7 - 19 October 2015

Thierry Fontaine's work is being exhibited at the Centre Pompidou as part of the Carte Blanche PMU, sponsor of the Galerie de Photographies – the new area devoted to photography at the Centre Pompidou, which is open to the public for free. For its sixth edition, this Carte Blanche offers a photographer a chance to express his/her vision of the world of games. Thierry Fontaine has given shape to the dreams that arise from games and taken the place of the players: those alchemists who dream of changing lead into gold. As he says, "There is nothing impossible in transforming players into dreams, dreams into players; reversing the roles." Born in 1960 in Saint-Pierre, in La Réunion, Thierry Fontaine now lives and works in Paris. Free admission.
